Test In early 2016 Traffic Corp SA Pty Ltd purchased the business of Makesafe Traffic Management SA from previous ownership.

In July 2019 Advanced Traffic Management bought the business to add to the Advanced Traffic Management Victorian Division.

Makesafe Traffic Management SA has been operating for many years in South Australia originally as All Points Traffic Management, then as HTC. The business is well established as one of the original Traffic Control Companies in the state.

The Management Team in South Australia have been with the business since its early days as APTM and the current owners have many years experience in both Management and Ownership within the Traffic Management Industry.

Our Managers and Owners have considerable experience in all facets of traffic management from small scale works through to large scale major projects and from small road closures to major traffic impact works.

We are a South Australian Company – employing South Australians to protect worksites all over the state. Our Depot is located in Wingfield – South Australia in the heart of the Northern Suburbs of Adelaide.

We currently have a fleet of 48 Traffic Management Vehicles that range from utes to larger scale trucks for bigger jobs.

We employ a Team of 90+ fully qualified traffic controllers and have a number of office support staff including Planners, Project Manager, Operations Manager and Branch Manager.

Our Management Team

Our Team leaders are experts in “on the field operations”.

Makesafe Traffic Managements Senior Management hold a variety of qualificatons throughout the traffic industry. Combined with Makesafe Traffic Management in house training program available for all staff gives Makesafe a well experienced team. Makesafe Traffic Management have worked an a variety of projects including Civil Construction, Construction, Rail Works, Domestic, Project, Tertiary, Vegitation Services and Emergency Response to name a few.

We excel in our ability to train personnel on the ground with follow up career development.

Makesafe Traffic Management have a strong knowledge of Equipment Services incl. Variable Message Signs, Trailer mounted Arrow Boards & Pedestrian Barriers/Road barriers.

Geoffrey Flavel
Director
Geoff commenced his career in traffic management after many years in retail management. Starting from being a Traffic Controller, Geoffrey evolved into a team leader, followed by becoming Operations Manager. Moving between a number of companies, Geoff was approached to work at the Alliance, to establish a Traffic Management Division, which commenced operations in 2005, with its first major project being the Melbourne Commonwealth Games. In 2011, Geoff decided it was time to put his efforts into his own business and commenced Advanced Traffic Management, with the goal of a small, family owned and operated business working from home. This however didn’t last, as the business outgrew home and located to premises at Hallam, and ultimately expanding to Werribee around the same time. In 2018, another move was required as the business had outgrown Hallam, and have now settled in at Cranbourne West.
Jason Sant
Chief Executive Officer
Jason is a Traffic Management Specialist. Before joining Advanced Traffic Management Jason served in several roles in the Traffic Management Industry including as National General Manager. Jason has been Director of two Traffic Management Companies firstly with Traffic Diversions Group (which he founded in 2005) and most recently with Traffic Corp SA. Jason is responsible for building and running of Advanced Traffic Management which includes the interstate division – Makesafe Traffic Management (SA). Jason has a demonstrated experience working in Traffic Management which spans over 20 years. Skilled in Budgeting, Operations Management, Safety Management Systems, Leadership and Contract Management. Jason is an Industry Professional with a Batchelor of Commerce focused in Accounting and Business Management from Victoria University.
Shaun Hill
Manager Business & Administration
Shaun commenced in the Civil / Utilities Industry in 2004, working predominately on Water and Waste Water related projects across Australia and New Zealand focused specifically on the implementation of Australian and International Standards ISO9001, ISO14001 and ASNZS4801. In 2011 Shaun worked for Local Government assisting with the implementation of the Victorian Bushfire Royal Commission outcomes specifically within the Local Government sphere before returning to the Utilities sector. Shaun’s experience with Traffic Management commenced in 2006, when the Alliance Shaun was working for commenced a traffic management division. In 2018, Shaun commenced working at Advanced Traffic Management, initially in the Human Resources area of the business, but expanding recently to the Manager – Business Administration, encompassing the responsibilities of Accounting, Business Systems and Information Technology.
Kier Cavanagh
Business Development Manager
Kier has worked in the Traffic Management Industry for 10 years. Prior to working in this industry his background was Customer Service and Business Management in the Hospitality and Tourism Industries. During his time in the Traffic Management Industry he has developed start up operations into large scale operations. He has worked in every type of traffic control situation including complex Project Management for small, medium and large clients. He has considerable Operations Management Skills. Kier has filled roles of Business Manager and National Business Manager with other companies in this industry and also as Director of Traffic Corp SA. Kier’s role at Advanced is to work directly with clients to assist with all of their Traffic Management requirements. He is also responsible for reviewing, creating and submitting tenders in Victoria and South Australia.
Matthew Wright
Business Manager
Matthew has had extensive experience in the Civil Construction and Landscaping fields. Matthew has diverse experience working in both “hands on” and Management roles in Civil, building, landscaping and manufacturing environments. He has extensive experience with Traffic Control and Traffic Management. During his time at Fulton Hogan & Downer Matthew worked with the Spray, Profiling, Asphalt, Civil and Stabilisation Division. Whilst in the Landscaping field as Self Employed (Garden Wright) and at GLG as a Construction Manager Matthew over sore a number of Contract Managers as well as a large number of staff on commercial and domestic landscape projects.
Bernard Ho
Project Manager
Bernard has worked in the Civil Industry for over 12 yearsStarting out as a Graduate Engineer with the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure. Bernard has also worked in the local governmet and private sector. He has certificate in Project Manager. Bernard has joined our team as a Project Manager and is responsible for liaising with clients as to their daily requirements for traffic control including site meetings, permit management and customer service.
Samantha Mutch
Project Manager
Samantha has been working within the Traffic Management Industry for over 9 years, starting as an on-road Traffic Controller progressing to Team Leader and working her way through the ranks with CSA Group to Operations Manager. She has a Certificate III in Civil Construction Samantha has recently joined our Team as a Project Manager. She will manage a portfolio of clients – managing their day to day traffic control requirements including site meetings, permit management and customer service.
Tunya Sant
Business and Administration Manager
Tunya has been involved directly in the traffic management industry for over 10 years. She has been involved as a partnership owner and also managing the 3rd party certification for Quality and Safety Systems. Tunya oversees the Administration and Accounts Functions.

We are members of the TMAA. Our Participation allows us to stay at the forefront of Safety and Innovation in the traffic Management Industry.
We are Pre Qualified by DPTI for Workzone Traffic Management. Peace of Mind for our Customers.
